German Shepherd Dog Rescue
Mission Statement: Our Mission is to promote and protect the health, safety and welfare of German Shepherd Dogs and German Shepherd Dog Mix breeds in and around the San Antonio, Texas area, to encourage and supply responsible population control, and to undertake educational efforts aimed at promoting the well being of German Shepherd Dogs and German Shepherd Dog Mix Breeds and developing guidelines to provide proper animal stewardship. German Shepherd Dog Rescue of San Antonio (GSDR of San Antonio) is dedicated to saving as many dogs as it can effectively care for. The Rescue primarily concentrates on rescuing German Shepherd Dogs although it does occasionally take mixed breed GSDs. The Rescue carefully screens adopters so that the available dogs can be matched up with the most suitable homes. GSDR of San Antonio exists for the sole purpose of rescuing, providing foster homes and, ultimately, safe, loving adoptive homes for German Shepherd Dogs. Perhaps no other dog in history has been as important to man as the German Shepherd Dog. He's there when we need him; military, law enforcement, rescue and "best friend." It's the least we can do to be there for the German Shepherd Dog when it's being neglected, hurt or no longer wanted and needs us the most.
