GSDR of San Antonio is not only here to rescue German Shepherd Dogs but also to help locate and reunite pets with their families.  This is a free service to anybody who has recently lost a pet, regardless if it's a dog, cat or whatever.  We will try to help.

Your information will be published on this Web site for a period of 10 days or more.  If during that time you are reunited with your pet, please let us know by sending us an email to sheri@gsdrtx.com.

In order for us to list your pet on this page, please fill out the Information on Lost Pet form by clicking on the link below.  Once we have received your information we will publish the Lost Pet report as soon as possible.

Subject: Missing Joplin Mo. Animal!!!! Please look out for her!!!!

Email received July 3, 2011...

We need everyones help finding for this dog!  I understand that some of your shelters may not deal with dogs or only certain breeds, however in times like this I feel that we all need to pull together  She is missing from the Joplin Mo. but could be anywhere is the US now. Her home was completely destroyed in the Tornado on May 22, 2011.   But, she was spotted and photographed alive afterwards. Her family does not know where she ended up.  We are asking people and shelters all over the United States to keep a look out for her. If you have any information please call Heather at 812 327 5876 or e-mail hpawluk@hotmail.com, you can even go to FaceBook page:  Bring Hanah Home.  Please Please help this family move on from this disaster all they want is their dog child back.

Hanah is a White spayed American Bulldog approx 110 pounds (But could be less now), with different color eyes  one blue and one hazel (green). Unfortunately she is not chipped, and looks as if her collar has been lost.  Please see photos attached.  There is a REWARD for her return for the individual or shelter!!!!!!!

Please if you go anywhere that has dogs look around!  Thank you for your time

Huney
July 30, 2011

Found German Shepherd Dog, May 2011.  She's about 2 years old and was very much underweight when found in San Antonio.  Her "foster parent" says she's very cuddly and loves people but NOT other animals.  Huney has been brought back into good health and now needs to go home to her family...or perhaps to another family that will give her a forever home.  Again, this GSD does not care for other animals and should be in a home where she would be the only pet.

The following email was received on October 10, 2011:

To whom it may concern,

Some of our friends found a dog in the middle of Interstate 10 dodging traffic.  They were concerned for his safety so they picked him up.  They took him to the nearest humane society which said they were full (we've since learned that all the humane societies in San Antonio are full).  They had him scanned for a microchip and discovered that he does NOT have one.  He has no other identification.  Since our friends live in an apartment, they brought him to our backyard (it's been storming so we had to bring him inside!).  We cannot keep him because of allergies.  We are desperately trying to find him a home and need your help.  We know nothing about him except that he is male, with no identification and appears to be a German Shepherd (mix ?).  He doesn't bark or bite.  He seems to be housebroken.  Please find pictures of him attached.  Please help us find him a safe, happy home.

Regards,

Kayte Hurst
