All Dogs Go To Heaven
Mike
was born October 16, 1989, and at five weeks old became a member
of our family. It was a rocky start with him chewing a big hole in the
dining room
wall-to-wall carpet (a planter sat on top of that spot for many years).
Over the
next few months...and a lot of being thrown out of the house...he learned his
place
in the home and all was well.
Mike was a big German Shepherd Dog with
a heart to match.
Although he probably could have snapped an arm in half with one
bite (he chewed large rocks in our back yard like candy), he was very
gentle with everybody, especially our grandchildren. Most of my
clients who came to my office were very impressed with Mike...
a few were scared to death. He loved to play ball, Frisbee and chase
away
other animals that came into his yard. Mike was definitely the
"Alpha Dog"
of our pack (three dogs) and was always in-charge when other dogs
were around. He didn't growl...he just looked at them and they knew
he was the boss.
As years went by
Mike became an old man...not able to run and jump like he used to, but
still VERY much in-charge and alert. Time took its toll, as it does with
all, and God
said "It's time to come home boy." Mike left us for Heaven on
April 26, 2003.
"All Dogs Go To Heaven".
I miss you Buddy.
